Our Namesake
Harrison Justice Whiskey Co was founded by Joshua Perschbacher in honor his great grandfather of the same name.
Harrison Justice was a WWI Army veteran from the hills of Southeast Missouri. Leaving home to serve he found his way to Louisiana where he married Della Jarrett. When they returned to the Ozarks the temperance movement had gathered steam and prohibition was sweeping the nation. Jack Daniels had long since relocated its distilling operations to St. Louis in 1910 after Tennessee’s state-wide ban took effect.
Much of our history is shrouded in secret or lost to history, but what has been passed down is bits and pieces through the generations. We know Harrison was a barber, we know the family moved around a lot, he always had a fast car, and he had to “go away for a while”. And while it was much later in life that Grandma put two and two together, it all made sense looking back as that outlaw spirit has always been a part of our family.

Joshua Perschbacher – Executive Bourbon Steward, Stave & Thief Society
Joshua founded Harrison Justice Whiskey Co in 2023. A US Navy veteran, Joshua has spent two decades serving our country and its veterans. Being named an Evan Williams American Made Hero in 2021,Joshua became inspired to follow in his great grandfather’s bootlegger footsteps and venture into the whiskey industry.
